Client: Defence Intelligence Group (DIG), Department of DefenceService: Test & Evaluation (T&E)

Overview

DIG is delivering JP2289, a multi-year program establishing a secure and integrated Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Information Environment (ISR-IE) for Defence. This environment will enhance how ISR data is shared and utilised across missions, domains, and classification levels.

Azooa has been engaged to provide the program’s Test & Evaluation service, ensuring each capability introduced into the ISR-IE is validated, secure, interoperable, and ready for operational use.

Our Role

Azooa provides a high-level T&E function aligned to Defence methodologies, delivering:

  • Test planning and governance embedded across the program

  • Requirements verification and traceability as capability evolves

  • System integration testing across networks, cloud services, data flows and ISR workflows

  • Security verification supporting accreditation activities

  • Operational suitability testing with DIG’s ISR users

  • Release readiness assurance for incremental deployments

Our approach integrates closely with DIG’s delivery teams, providing independent assurance while enabling smooth, predictable capability progression.

Impact

Even as the project remains in progress, Azooa has delivered clear value:

  • Greater confidence in integration and security of emerging systems

  • Reduced delivery risk through early identification of issues

  • More predictable release cycles, supported by structured T&E

  • Improved alignment to user needs, via progressive operational testing

Outcome

Azooa’s T&E service is helping DIG build a robust, secure, and scalable ISR information environment. As JP2289-1 continues through its delivery phases, Azooa’s high-level assurance framework ensures Defence can introduce new capabilities with confidence.
